RIP Michael Clarke Duncan

It is with sadness that I write about the tragic passing of Michael Clarke Duncan. The Oscar nominated actor had previously suffered a heart attack on July 13th and his publicist stated that he had never fully recovered.

Michael Clarke Duncan starred in a wide variety of roles both in movies and on TV ranging from Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes, The Kingpin in Ben Affleck starring comic book movie Daredevil and a guest starring role on Two and half men.

However it will be in the role of John Coffey that Clarke Duncan will be most fondly remembered. In Frank Darabont's prison drama The Green Mile, Michael Clarke Duncan gave an Oscar nominated performance opposite Tom Hanks as the gentle giant with a mysterious gift.
